Jasmine Sahu
Research assistant
Jasmine Sahu is an undergraduate student at the University of Utah, studying Biology with an emphasis in Health, Anatomy, and Physiology. Her background is primarily clinical, having worked directly with patients on vision health through OCT imaging, intraocular pressure measurements, and comprehensive vision screening exams.
In the lab, Jasmine is working on honors biology thesis investigating glaucoma and its physiological pathways. She aims to understand how disruptions in these pathways can lead to degenerative eye diseases and ultimately to develop targeted therapies.
Jasmine is dedicated to becoming an ophthalmologist and is passionate about ocular diseases and the neuroscience that underlies them. In her free time, Jasmine enjoys snowboarding, traveling, swimming, and scrapbooking.
